From the workshop

An independent game inspired by Slavic imagination.

Evocatio is an independent, text-based RPG/MMORPG in the spirit of Dungeons & Dragons, set in a dark world inspired by Slavic beliefs, Polish legends and tales of old. Among forests, swamps and forgotten ruins, everyday life is woven with mystery, and a journey beyond the safety of the road can change your character’s fate.

The seasons change the face of the land. Its inhabitants work, trade and struggle to survive while you seek your own place in the world. Set out alone or with friends, uncover hidden places, learn the inhabitants’ stories and prepare to face the consequences of your decisions.

We are creating a game shaped by cooperation, ingenuity and the excitement of a shared adventure. We want every expedition to leave you with memories, and every new attempt to give you a reason to try a different path.

Your choices matter

A living economy

Goods come from mines and workshops, and merchants take them where they are needed. Prices and resources matter.

One life

Risk is part of every expedition. Preparation, companions and the items you find can decide your hero’s fate.

Together or alone

You control your own character. Travel alone, hire companions or play with friends.

More ways to play

The circle of life

Inhabitants work, eat and keep their stoves burning. The bankrupt go begging; hunger and cold bring illness, and illness kills. The gravedigger comes for the dead, the name goes into the cemetery book, and a successor moves into the empty workshop. The world carries on — with or without you.

At the table and at the lock

Lockpicking against pin stacks, arm wrestling, tiddlywinks, brawling and the innkeeper's dice — each with its own scene, rules and stakes. Try the training →

Many ways to survive

Songs, stances, linked spells, summons and ambushes — and your party takes formation on the battlefield. Enemies have body parts and weak points: aim where it hurts, and know when to pull back.

Evocatio · The Summoning

You are not the first.
You will not be the last.

Earlier arrivals called this world Evocatio — the Summoning — because its power had called them here. They were not the last.

I · Strays

No prophecy.
No promise of salvation.

In fairy tales, a summoned hero receives a sword, power and a prophecy. You wake on wet grass with an empty stomach.

This world calls people from other times because it is falling apart. You are not a chosen one, just a stray: no rights, no gold, no one to mourn you.

A voice tells your story as if your fate were already written — yet every decision is yours.

Who you become is up to you.

II · A wound in the world

The Blight

The world is dying, and the Blight is spreading.

III · Five paths

The call is not a command.

There is no single answer to why you are here.

I

Return

Find a way home.

II

Healing

Try to save a dying world.

III

Dominion

Reach for power.

IV

Destruction

Help this world die.

V

Wandering

Discover what lies beyond the sea and ice.

IV · Your own character

Three peoples, three brothers.

No one here is from here. Every newcomer wakes on foreign soil and drifts towards the brother closest to them.
Human, elf and dwarf at launch — six races in the plan: halfling, half-orc and rusałka will follow, then more.

Human — sample figure from the game's character creator

Human

The people of Lędomir. The first brother went down to the plains and founded the stronghold the Crown grew from — and became the King Who Does Not Die. Humans are everywhere: every class is open to them. At home in settlements, on plains and fields.

Elf — sample figure from the game's character creator

Elf

The people of Cis. The second brother walked into the wildwood and closed it to strangers; elves say their king speaks with the forest. Sharp-eyed and watchful, yet frailer under a blow. The forest remembers their step — heat and wasteland wear them down.

Dwarf — sample figure from the game's character creator

Dwarf

The people of Rudobor. The third brother went into the mountains and beneath them, into the Rudogóry — he digs ever deeper, and the dwarves follow him, as they always have. Tough, heavy, resistant to magic; stone is home, fire is the workshop. Marsh and water do not suit them.

V · Lands and seasons

The same road.
A different world.

Over 1,000 painted panoramas with changing seasons and weather.

Forest · spring · sunny morning1 / 23
